Jim has received the Distinguished Toastmaster designation. He joined Toastmasters in October 2003 and joined Casselberry Orators Toastmasters in October 2006. Jim is active in both District 84 and District 47.
Meetings in East Altamonte Springs every Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 PM (except holidays)

— Join us at 850 E Altamonte Dr (SR 436), Altamonte Springs, FL 32701, in the CenturyLink building.
— Enter the seven-story building from the West side; at security say "Toastmasters." Exit the elevator on the third floor, turn left, right and left to access our meeting room.
— Visitors are welcome, please arrive a little before 7:00. Come and experience what Toastmasters can do for you.

"Speech Contest Rulebook 2009 - Selection Sequence - (B) . . . in areas with four assigned clubs or less . . . allow the two highest placed available contestants from each club (in each contest) to compete in the area contest." This means that potentially, four (4) Orators could go on to the Area 42 contests in March!

District 84 Fall Conference Saturday Workshops
Saturday offered Educational workshops. District 84 Webmaster, Jim Miller, DTM informed with "Invigorate Your Club with an Effective On-line Presence" and reminded us about the 2008-2009 Club Website Contest. Past District 50 Governor, Angie Key, DTM educated on "Masterful Marketing for Your Club." There were several other great workshops and presenters.Saturday's luncheon roasted our past District Governor, Wanda Brown, DTM. The humor was excellent and "spirits" were high. Followed by the General Session where
International Director Sal Asad, DTM presented. Then a District 84 business meeting stating how the District is doing and what the future has in store.

District 84 Fall Conference Evaluation Contest
The first District 84 Fall Conference was November 7, 8 and 9, 2008 in Melbourne Beach, Florida. Toastmasters came from all over Central and North Florida and even the International Director of our Region 8. Attendance was high, energy was great, the contests were fabulous and everyone had a wonderful time.Friday evening hosted the Opening Ceremony and the Evaluation Contest. Members who achieved
communication and leadership awards received ribbons. The 2003 World Champion, Jim Key, gave the keynote address. The Evaluation Contest had eight contestants representing all divisions and Peter Gordon emerged the winner.
