District 84 Fall Conference Saturday Workshops

Saturday offered Educational workshops. District 84 Webmaster, Jim Miller, DTM informed with "Invigorate Your Club with an Effective On-line Presence" and reminded us about the 2008-2009 Club Website Contest. Past District 50 Governor, Angie Key, DTM educated on "Masterful Marketing for Your Club." There were several other great workshops and presenters.

Saturday's luncheon roasted our past District Governor, Wanda Brown, DTM. The humor was excellent and "spirits" were high. Followed by the General Session where International Director Sal Asad, DTM presented. Then a District 84 business meeting stating how the District is doing and what the future has in store.

November 4th Meeting - "Politics" Theme

I hope that everyone made it to the polls and voted their choices. The meeting went smoothly and we all progressed toward our goals and built new skills. With four members and our guest Rudy SC from Foliage Toastmasters as a Club Ambassador, the Orators produced an excellent meeting with no regrets, other than regretting our absentee members. No video was made at this meeting, thus speeches were not recorded, apologies to all.

This weekend is the District 84 Conference in Melbourne, Florida. At this level, the Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contests are always entertaining and educating experiences.

Remember to click on the "Meeting Roles," for the spreadsheet of upcoming meeting assignments. In addition, FYI, the "Archives" track the attendance, ribbon winners, roles filled, announcements, and guests. Enjoy the week; see you on November 11 with Toastmaster Ralph leading the "Club Officer's Roles" meeting.
